Question 1

What is Fortitude Factory?

Accepted Answer

Fortitude Factory is an industrial knowledge management platform that captures the tribal wisdom keeping your manufacturing operation running. It turns the judgment, failure modes, and hands-on technique of your most experienced operators into Flows your whole team can learn, follow, and improve.

Question 2

Who is Fortitude Factory built for?

Accepted Answer

Plant managers, maintenance leads, operators, and subject-matter experts in manufacturing and heavy industry. It serves operations that rely on aging expertise, shift-to-shift handoffs, and hard-won lessons that never made it into a binder.

Question 3

How is a Flow different from a standard operating procedure?

Accepted Answer

A standard SOP tells your people what to do. A Flow captures why it is done that way across six phases: the spirit of the task, failure modes, normal operation, hands-on technique, independent oversight, and vocabulary. It preserves the judgment behind the procedure, not just the steps.

Question 4

How does Fortitude Factory protect our knowledge from leaking?

Accepted Answer

Every record is scoped by company and department with role-based access. Administrative actions require a Management PIN, and protected Flow editing requires an SME PIN. Copying, printing and exporting are disabled throughout the application, so your tribal knowledge never leaks to a competitor.

Question 5

Can we bring our existing downtime logs into Fortitude Factory?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Import from Excel, CSV, PDF, Word documents, or a Google Sheets link. The importer detects your date, downtime, TAG, severity and status columns, shows you a preview of every record it read, and only saves once you confirm. Missing TAGs are created for you, and re-importing the same log will not duplicate records.

Question 6

What can we see before we have data of our own?

Accepted Answer

Load a sample workspace with one click. It arrives populated with TAGs, real downtime Events and two finished six-phase Flows, so your team can explore the downtime analytics, the approval workflow and the Flow builder immediately. Remove it whenever you are ready to enter your own.

Question 7

How long does it take to get started?

Accepted Answer

You can create your company account and start your 30-day free trial in minutes. Set up your departments, invite your team, and begin capturing your first Flows right away. No credit card is required during the trial.

Question 8

Can I cancel anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your subscription is month-to-month or annual, and you can cancel anytime from the Management dashboard. There are no long-term contracts and no cancellation fees.
